Precinct Partner: Brisbane Tool Library

Northshore Brisbane is proud to welcome the Brisbane Tool Library, Queensland’s first library of things, to its dynamic community of innovative and sustainable change makers. Since 2017, this unique library has been encouraging people to borrow a wide range of items, from hand and power tools to camping and sports gear, promoting efficient resource usage and waste reduction.

Led by a dedicated team of volunteers, the Brisbane Tool Library has taken up residence in the Dock C Workshops and Maker Spaces precinct at Northshore Brisbane. Operating much like a traditional library, it offers an alternative to buying expensive tools that might only be needed once, thereby saving money and reducing waste.

The Brisbane Tool Library is not only challenging old ways of consumption but also building a stronger, greener future. It demonstrates a shared commitment to fostering sustainable practices and social responsibility, embodying the principles of a circular economy.

We invite everyone to engage with fellow members, borrow what they need, and become an integral part of this exciting movement. Northshore Brisbane is thrilled to have such an innovative and sustainable organisation within the precinct, driving positive change through resource sharing and collaboration.

Based on a circular economy, we are building a more sustainable society, reducing consumption and waste going to landfill.
