Northshore Brisbane is tickled pink this September

September looks rosy as Northshore Brisbane blooms into spring with a packed program of major events, festival fun and exciting activations.
The thriving riverfront precinct is in the pink with enticing entertainment for family outings, date nights and group hangs.

Brisbane Festival, Queensland’s most-anticipated arts and culture festival returns to Northshore Brisbane to paint the precinct pink. The annual 23-day extravaganza has partnered with Northshore Brisbane for the past three years and this year, will host three FREE events at Portside Wharf. Pro tip: You can also catch a good glimpse of Riverfire by Australian Retirement Trust on Saturday 31 August along the riverfront at Northshore Brisbane.

Spectrum of Happiness is an interactive swing that brings all generations together in a shared moment of happiness. Release your inner child on the rainbow-hued swing set that combines creativity, technology and joy. Sit down and start swinging to activate an LED ball overhead. Encourage friends and strangers to join in to create a collaborative musical symphony composed as each of the seven swings swing into action. Spectrum of Happiness is free, non-ticketed and suitable for all ages.

Discover your rhythm by the river at the free Portside Serenades mini-concert.
Fall in love with Carnival-style jazz as local talent takes to the stage across the afternoon and into the evening including SP Trio, Afro Beat Brazilian Drums, Brunswick Street Parade, Melody Graves and the Hokum Redemption. Along with the sweet sounds of brass bands and the upbeat tempos of Dixieland, the event is also a wonderland of fun, food, and festivities. Portside Serenades is free and suitable for all ages.

There’s no better way to launch into the weekend than with free live music, roving entertainment and family-friendly workshops, all along Brisbane’s stunning riverfront. Friday Feels serves up an array of all-ages fun with a different theme every Friday. Kick up your cowboy boots at Country Night, let the kids dance and prance at Kids Night, bop on at Pop Night and discover global acts at World Night. Northshore Brisbane’s own Flipside Circus performs every Friday night with a fresh lineup of acts, artists and musicians also taking the stage.

It’s not just Brisbane Festival turning Northshore Brisbane pink this September. The precinct’s wildly popular Pink Flamingo Spiegeland presents its packed program of eye-popping, jaw-dropping, gravity-defying shows. The brand-new, family-focused Circus Fun House delivers a reimaged circus adventure that delights all ages. The Pink Flamingo’s iconic resident production, SUAVÉ, blends burlesque, glamour and comedy in a world-class performance. At the risqué end of the program are the hen’s party and girls’ night-favourite Ripped and La Teaze, Pink Flamingo’s late-night extravaganza. It’s enough to make you blush!

Experience a vibrant and vivid Mexico without leaving Northshore Brisbane at Cirque du Soliel’s LUZIA. The colourful and fantastical production travels through the locations, people and sounds of a make-believe Mexico. World-class entertainers will dazzle as they traverse old movie sets, smoke-filled dance halls, beaches fronting endless oceans and barren deserts. The visually stunning LUZIA also marks the 25th anniversary of Cirque du Soliel in Australia.
September may leave you tickled pink but you’ll definitely feel blue when it’s over as Bluey’s World Brisbane takes shape at Northshore Brisbane.
The hugely anticipated immersive experience opens to the public on 7 November.
