Northshore Brisbane was proud to host the 2022 Brisbane Street Art Festival (BSAF) headquarters for their biggest year ever!
Kicking off with an extraordinary party filled with live music, artworks coming to life in real-time plus some skateboarding thrown in, BSAF provided the Brisbane community with a wide variety of workshops, from yarn bombing to brushwork techniques, as well as art cycling excursions through the city and panel conversations with people who help shape shared places and spotlight art.
Now in its seventh year, the festival installed 50 substantial works of public art throughout the city and its environs, allowing creative practitioners and the community to develop positive partnerships through engagement and collaboration.
BSAF also delivered a collection of large-scale murals that transformed areas of Northshore and injected a new level of vibrancy into the waterfront precinct. BSAF reinvigorated an unused warehouse at Northshore Brisbane and converted it into the central HQ for BSAF 2022, featuring three exhibitions, a range of workshops and events, and the installation of nine murals directly around the warehouse, with an additional three at Northshore’s riverside park, Maritime Green. The 2022 event at Northshore was an opportunity to reactivate the precinct’s urban space and provide opportunities for local and international artists and art workers.
We can’t wait to see what BSAF and Northshore deliver in 2023!
