Like their winged namesake, Firefly Lighting is lighting up the night (and the stage) throughout Brisbane and beyond.

Their coveted award-winning lighting systems are used all over the globe, from local favourites like our beloved Eat Street Northshore and Gasworks Plaza to internationally recognised pop-culture events like Burning Man, the Super Bowl and the stages of superstars like Adele, Queen and Coldplay.

Firefly’s founder and lighting designer Heath Williamson got his start in the film industry straight out of high school, and realised he wanted to showcase the magic of lighting in the real world too. After being asked to design the lighting for Fortitude Valley hotspot Cloudland back in 2008, Williamson has grown Firefly into the multimillion-dollar success story it is today. Their special brand of sparkle can be seen in leading restaurants, pubs, clubs, hotels, theme parks, festivals, shopping malls and even film sets all around the world.

Firefly Lighting has called Northshore Brisbane home for 8 years now, and Williamson says when it comes to Northshore Brisbane, there’s three words that come to mind – location, location, location.

“Northshore is perfectly located close to everything, including the airport, not only for our goods coming in and out of the country but our personnel who are constantly flying around Australia and the world. It’s a beautiful section of Brisbane on the river, surrounded by great restaurants and shops.”

Whether it’s revitalising spaces with their LED neon “floppyflex”, a unique product that is green friendly, low voltage and can be cut and shaped to whatever the design requires, creating ambience in spades with festive festoon lighting, or crafting an architectural spectacle by way of thousands of twinkling fairy lights – as far as Firefly are concerned, “Let there be light”!
